Your gift -- of any amount -- will help us reach our funding goals to strengthen our students' success! Your donation today will support the Department of Health Sciences at CSUN which offers three distinct degree programs: Health Administration, Public Health, and Radiologic Sciences.
Our students examine factors that affect the health of individuals and communities. They graduate ready for their professions and are also ready for further education in disciplines such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, and other health-related professions. While the program continues to grow, financial concerns remain as obstacles to many of our students’ success.
MAKE AN IMPACT
This is where you come in. We are excited to launch giving opportunities within the Dean’s Circle to support student needs. We ask you to help by making a philanthropic, tax-deductible contribution. Your generous gift will help our department guide students to success, now and for years to come.
Internships
You can lend your support to students who demonstrate financial need in their required academic internship placement. Your gift could help with expenses such as background checks, full drug panel screenings, live scans, and more. Without this support, some students could be turned away from potential internship opportunities.
Conferences
You can support students’ travel opportunities for networking and presenting research at professional conferences every year. Our students’ abstracts are accepted to regional and national conferences. These experiences are transformational! Your support can assist with expenses like flights, hotel, and conference registration fees.
"The Bridge" Newsletter
Support “The Bridge”, the CSUN Public Health Program newsletter. It is published 8-9 times per year during the fall and spring semesters. Creation and curation of content, design, and editing requires many hours of student work and faculty supervision. The audience for our circulation includes Public Health students, alumni, and professionals as well as community partners, and department faculty, and staff. View the latest issue of The Bridge.
Radiologic Sciences
Support Radiologic Sciences (RS) students who have financial need so that they can participate in activities such as travel to clinical sites throughout the LA area (to get to clinical sites, some students may travel hundreds of miles in as little as a week).
Unanticipated Student Needs
Getting ready for professional practice sometimes involves details that incur unanticipated expenses. For example, did you know that a fit test is required for those who need to use an N95 mask as part of their work? This is a new clinical requirement for our students. Your donation could support students with financial need so they are ready when these expenses arise.
Equipment
Your funding can support the care and maintenance of equipment used by students in our labs.
